LUC DUPUIS
Organist and Composer
GEORGE FRIDERIC HANDEL
The complete set of 16 concertos for organ and orchestra
arranged for solo organ, 2nd edition revised and corrected
-
All passages mentioned ad libitum by Handel (and intended to be improvised) are generously developed there, in a style which is intended to be in continuity with the rest of the original composition.
-
All of the transcriber’s additions to the solo parts – whether harmonic fill or cadenzas – are notated in small notes to clearly differentiate them from the original text.
-
The score is distributed on two staves and could be played either on an instrument with or without a pedal, on one or more keyboards.
-
The ossias propose necessary modifications in the case of a positive organ, a keyboard of 54 notes and an organ with or without pedalboard.
